I needed to comment on the article in tomorrow’s SF Chronicle. In case you haven’t see it, you can get it here:

Let me give you some background, I’ve supported Gavin Newsom as a young upstart whippersnapper and reformer. Although I’ve been critical of his progress fighting crime and cleaning up the homeless problem in the city; I’ve staunchly supported his growth as a mayor.

This latest scandal I think speaks to his personal character and abilities. I can’t believe this guy would do something like this to someone he considered a friend and trusted ally; what was he thinking? As someone that obviously has aspirations to one day serve in a higher office, this is an incredible misstep. Some of you may say Clinton cheated on his wife and you thought he was awesome! Well, Clinton didn’t cheat on his wife with a friend’s wife! Secondly, Newsom is no Clinton! He hasn’t done shit, he’s no Rhodes Scholar, he’s no communicator, he’s just a guy that has rich friends. Fuck him, he’s dead to me.
