Spykes - targeted at who?
From Consumerist. It’s hard to come out with new alcoholic beverages these days, especially when said beverages are brightly colored, easily concealable, and laced with caffeine.
Anheuser-Busch found this out the hard way with their new line of Spykes flavor shots. The drinks, which are designed to be taken as a shot or used to make mixed drinks, have drawn criticism from twenty nine attorney generals across the United States. Apparently the small colorful Spykes bottles and energy-drink like ingredients seem a bit too kid friendly, not to mention mixing alcohol with stimulants like caffeine can be a bit tough on the heart.
Of course Anheuser-Bush denies targeting Spykes at kids, and personally, I think the drink seems better suited for the girly girl/gay mid 20’s to 30’s crowd. I mean, really, what kid would be caught dead sipping from this little nail polish-sized bottle? Kids want to drink alcohol because they want to get fed up - hence hennesy and 40 ouncers. They don’t drink because they want to look fabulous.
In any case, I haven’t even seen these things in stores yet, but AB is in big trouble for them and I believe they need to do some relabeling. Anyone try one yet?

Come on, with those colors and flavors thats retarded to claim its not targeted towards kids. My guess is this product gets pulled similar to the flavored cigarettes.
