I could just never get into The Office, having already seen all of the British version. It's just not nearly as good. Or, at least, it doesn't have that same level of awkward discomfort (extreme discomfort) that only the English can truly master. I must say, however, that the most ingenious part of the plot was placing the location in Scranton, PA. There are few places more desolate and lonely and hopeless in the entire universe, yet still within just close enough proximity to places like Philly, NYC, and Boston to give you the glimmer of hope and freedom ever on the horizon. A horizon that never comes closer, no matter how much you struggle toward the sunset . . . .

Scranton sucks.

I did see the series premier of "Chuck". It looks pretty good. Pretty funny.

I REALLY wanted to see the premier of "Reaper" about a kid who's soul was sold to the devil by his parents so the devil decides to make him his envoy on earth, collecting the souls of escapees from hell. It's essentially exactly the same plot line as the show "Brimstone." Except in "Reaper" the main character, rather than being a badass homicide detective, is instead an unemployed retard. The "Reaper" previews online looked hilarious, and, as a bonus, it was directed by Kevin Smith.

Unfortunately, Oceanic Time Warner decided that rather than bringing the CW Network to its subscribers, we would be better served by Olelo. So instead of "Reaper" I got to watch the "Manoa Valley Board Meeting." Fuckin' A! The only better decision they've ever made was to cancel primetime shows like "Smallville" to bring us four hours of women's college volleyball! My god, what would I do without women's college volleyball?!

The first season of the US Office was infuriating for someone who watched the UK version. The plot was the same, the characters were essentially the same. Even some of the jokes were the same.

But the show really developed into its own in season 2. And I think Steve Carrell did a good job of building the US Michael into his own character, rather than a copy of Gervais.

It's worth a watch. Not all episodes are homeruns, but the ones that are, are really pretty great.

My favorite part of Olelo was the shows that are strictly in Hawaiian. How many people in hawaii can even understand hawaiian? Talk about a small demographic

Great summary of season premiers. I've been a little disappointed with the new series' pilots I've seen to date: Bionic Woman was much less than compelling, though some of the action sequences are pretty awesome, but it's thoroughly "meh," and I doubt I'll watch it again.

Jouneyman was okay, too, but it's way too Quantum Leap and Early Edition like without new twists to make it current and seemingly fresh. Instead, the only reason I am considering watching it again is because I think the lead actor is hot.

Speaking of superficiality, Private Practice is the Grey's Anatomy spin-off with my favorite GA character as the lead. To put it simply, Private Practice sucks. Seriously. It's embarrassing, stupid, totally cliche, and annoying. Really bad dialogue.

I've heard really good things about Reaper, which I've Tivoed. Hopefully taht'll be good. Dirty Sexy Money was okay. I'll probably continue to watch that as my guilty pleasure type of television programming.
