We’re into week 8 of this season’s American Idol contest. I’m sure most of you have heard by now that Howard Stern has been telling his listeners to vote for the worst contestant which is Sanjaya Malakar.  Much to the dismay of many American Idol winners; this scheme has actually been working! Simon Cowell has stated that if Sanjaya does indeed win the entire contest he will quit his job out of principal.  MY opinion is that any publicity is good.  If people are beginning to watch the show and vote multiple times for a bad singer, who cares right?  If the contest is totally fair, they’d have older or really ugly people on there, but they don’t! which tells me contest isn’t all about who is the best signer.   Its about who’s the most popular, and at this moment that person is Sanjaya.

BTW for you betting types.  Sanjaya is currently a quoted with 10 to 1 odds on www.intrade.com   I’m thinking taking a long shot bet.
