I just saw this Honda Element commercial that featured the Honda Element, a crab and a lobster.  The crab is upset because the Element was talking to the lobster.  The crab has sort of a puerto rican accent, and he sort of implies that the Element is cheating on him with the lobster.  I guess this is a gay couple but is the ad targeted towards gays?  You check it out and tell me what you think.

I’m seeing these Google Banner ads and I can’t help but wonder why our site was chosen.  I understand that the cause of feeding children in Africa is a worthy one, but I don’t understand why you’d choose a site such as ours to display them.  I’m mean come on people.  You’re sharing a screen with Rob’s Vagina Leak, A Mind of Mencia Diss, and a House MD review.  

Budweiser has done it again and launched another beer.  I’m beginning to think this is a yearly occurrence.  Anyone remember the energy drink?  World Select?  Budweiser Select?   Well this year its Landshark Lager:  A new fun beach theme beer in the style of Corona and Pacifico just without the piss( just kidding.)  MY guess is that this will be successful as those other launches.  If I were Anheuser Busch I’d put my R&D into developing a beer that contains nicotine. Seriously, that would be some rad shit.

For those (un)fortunate to know me personally, know about my love for hip hop.  One of my favorite up and coming artists right now is Lupe Fiasco out of Chicago.  He’s had a great first album Food and Liquor.  I’d describe it similar in style to older Kanye West.   I noticed a song off the album titled Daydreamin’ in a new Macy’s commercial.  I hope this brings his big break.

I read this interesting press release today stating that KFC’s (aka Kentucky Fried Chicken) president wrote a letter to Pope Benedict XVI asking for his blessing in serving the Fish Snacker sandwich to Catholics observing Lent.

I think I’m genuinely torn about this issue. On its face I guess its alright for any company to ask for a special blessing if their menu item may appeal a certain group of worshipers. Although I don’t believe the actions of KFC in case was entirely altruistic. It was my impression from the press release that KFC was going through this public process just to draw attention to their new sandwich. I guess this issue will be left up to Catholics to decide if this menu item truly fits into the ideals of Lent. I’m mean seriously, we’re talking about a fish sandwich that was deep fried in chicken grease and vegetable oil.

So by now I think you all have seen the GM and Saturn commercials advertising the sale event for President’s Day. The commercial features a GM SUV being driven in front of patriotic images with a fake Dr. Dre hip hop version of Hail to the chief. I know that GM has been having some issues selling trucks but will everyone gladly adopt this new hip hop image? I don’t think this image works for me. Remember. not everyone wants to look like Marlo Stanfield delivering a g pack.

I was watching television yesterday and noticed a new commercial for Nasonex, an allergy medication. The weird thing was that there is a bee in the commercial that flys around with a Mexican accent? Seriously WTF? Is it just because of The Simpsons that someone would imagine a funny bee with a Mexican accent? I don’t get it, nothing about Mexico even remotely relates to a bumble bee. This guy critiques the biological inaccuracies of the Nasonex bee. Its pretty dorky but interesting nonetheless. A real lovefest over here
